As we approach the end of 2024, we reflect on a year that has been demanding yet deeply rewarding. Despite economic challenges and the ever-present reality of a drought-stricken country, the resilience, dedication and innovative spirit of our Namibia Dairies team have delivered outstanding achievements that inspire hope for an even brighter 2025.

This year, we celebrated several milestones:

  • Our first export of long-life juices to Zimbabwe, a significant step towards growing Namibia Dairies' footprint in the region.
  • Supporting local farmers through the winter levy initiative and partnering with Otavifontein to supplement feed requirements at Aimab Superfarm.
  • The sale of superior bull calves, showcasing our commitment to sustainable farming practices.
  • Our award from the Shoprite Group for the best growth in UHT and fresh milk, a testament to the quality and consistency of our products.
  • The successful launch of our Rietfontein Red Grape Juice and 250ml fresh cream offering, highlighting our focus on product innovation and meeting consumer needs.

Our people remain the heartbeat of Namibia Dairies. We celebrate their authentic, caring and passionate dedication and ownership through initiatives like the F25 Managing Director’s (MD’s) Roadshow, the annual Ohlthaver & List (O&L) Value Star Ceremony and our remarkable performance at the O&L Persona Awards, where we won in the "Caring for the Whole" category and achieved two second runner-up awards in the "Profitable and Sustainable Return on Assets" and "Great Place to Work" categories.

In true Namibia Dairies spirit, we continued to give back to our community, supporting initiatives like the Ella du Plessis Grade 10 Math Club, the Pick n Pay Winter Drive and CAN's Shake-a-Can campaign, while assisting smaller organisations with product donations. Additionally, we partnered with tertiary institutions to provide workplace attachment visits, contributing to youth development and talent nurturing through real-world exposure as part of O&L’s Emerging Talent Programme.

Amidst it all, we continued to invest in our operations, optimising our factory and fleet for smoother production and distribution runs.

Says Namibia Dairies Chairperson, Wynand Oosthuizen: “This year has once again confirmed the extraordinary potential of our Namibia Dairies team. Despite navigating an exceedingly challenging landscape, we’ve accomplished remarkable feats and reaffirmed our position as a trusted leader in the industry. As we move into 2025, we do so with optimism, strengthened by the achievements of 2024 and driven by a shared commitment to growth, innovation and care. Together, we are building a future where Vision 2029 becomes a reality for our company, our people and our country.”

To our employees, partners and stakeholders: thank you for your trust, commitment and contributions throughout this year. We are confident that, together, we will achieve even greater milestones in 2025.

From our Namibia Dairies family to yours, we wish you a joyful festive season and a prosperous new year.
