At Namibia Dairies, we believe that true leadership goes beyond the boardroom. It’s about understanding the day-to-day experiences of our employees on the ground, fostering a culture of collaboration, and identifying opportunities to improve the way we work. As part of this commitment, our Marketing Manager, Dalinka Alberto, recently spent time with our dedicated Quality team in a leadership immersion exercise designed to strengthen engagement and continuously craft and maintain a Great Place to Work (GPTW) for all.

The immersion gave Dalinka the chance to experience firsthand the vital work done by the team of dedicated Quality Lab technicians who ensure that the high standards of our products are consistently maintained. By stepping into their shoes, Dalinka gained valuable insights into the team’s daily responsibilities, from monitoring product quality to performing critical checks that ensure our dairy products meet both internal and external standards.

“The experience was incredibly eye-opening,” Dalinka shared. “The complexity of the work the Quality Lab team handles, and the level of responsibility they carry, is impressive. They were incredibly patient and open in sharing their expertise, and I left with a renewed appreciation for what they do every day to keep our products at the highest standard.”

A key focus of the immersion was identifying opportunities to streamline workflows and make processes more efficient. Another aspect of the immersion was to engage with the Quality team on how they align with the O&L Persona and our Vision 2029. Dalinka noted that the team’s passion and commitment to their work were evident, underscoring the care they have for the products they oversee and the pride they take in delivering quality.

“At Namibia Dairies, quality and our people are at the heart of everything we do, and it’s vital that we keep supporting them as we work towards our Vision 2029 goals,” Dalinka added.

By strengthening our leadership's connection to the ground-level operations, initiatives like this immersion allow us to stay agile, identify areas for improvement, and ensure that our workplace remains a place of pride and ownership for all employees. This is not only key to creating a Great Place to Work, but it also directly impacts the quality and consistency of our products, reinforcing our commitment to excellence for our consumers.

Stay tuned for more updates as we continue to spotlight the people and teams who make Namibia Dairies what it is today-driving our culture of care, passion, and innovation every day.
